An internationally award-winning modern home on a private two-acre riverfront peninsula in Westport, MA — built in 2020, featured on the cover of South Coast Almanac, and accessible only by private road. The setting is defined by unobstructed wetland and water views from every main room, with total seclusion on-site.
Reflecting and splash pools with fountains plus an enclosed teak teepee hot tub seating sixteen — the outdoor water features are designed for both aesthetics and all-ages use. The hot tub includes a cold-water deluge. A 50-foot sandy beach and sweeping riverfront lawns complete the grounds.
All four bedrooms have private en-suite access with teak showers and switchable privacy glass overlooking the river — each room has its own thermostat and built-in storage. The library converts into a fourth bedroom via a sliding wall. The owner's suite at the eastern end of the home remains locked and is not part of the rental.
Grand living and dining space with 18-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass on every side — the interior accommodates up to 20 at the dining table, with two seating areas, a wet bar, library, and a dual-sided working fireplace visible from both inside and the hot tub terrace.
Gaggenau chef's kitchen, Alaskan cedar sauna, and on-site exercise room — the finishes throughout are purpose-built rather than renovated, with radiant heated floors, geothermal climate control, and rooftop solar. An EV charger is on property.
Horseneck Beach and an exclusive town ocean beach are 13 minutes away — Newport is 42 minutes, Providence Amtrak 42 minutes, and Boston/Logan 70 minutes. The location works as well for a design-focused retreat as for a base to explore the South Coast and Rhode Island.
A two-bedroom guest cottage is available for an additional cost — the main house sleeps eight adults comfortably; the cottage extends capacity for larger groups or adds a separate space for family travel.

Minimum one-week rentals

An on-site concierge/groundskeeper resides in a privately screened gate cottage to ensure seamless service while maintaining complete guest privacy.

Sleeps 8 adults comfortably in four bedrooms, plus 2 additional sleepers (ideal for children or small adults).

The library converts into a private fourth bedroom with a sliding wall, en-suite bath access, and separate corridor entry.

The eastern-most owner’s suite (separate and discreetly located beyond the kitchen) is not included in the rental and will remain locked and unoccupied during guest stays.

Cottage available for an additional cost. Full kitchen with 2 bedrooms.

Restrictions

Guests & Occupancy

  • Primary Guest must be 25+ and present for the entire stay; violations may result in cancellation or eviction without refund
  • Limited to stated sleeping capacity; over-occupancy may result in eviction without refund
  • Primary Guest is responsible for all damages, charges, and rule compliance; credit card on file may be charged
  • Use is limited to vacation/recreational purposes only
  • Motor homes, campers, and tents are not permitted (violation may result in termination without refund)

Events & Noise

  • Events: Weddings, parties, reunions, or large gatherings are not permitted
  • Noise compliance: Must follow all local noise and occupancy ordinances

Prohibited Activities

  • Pets: Not allowed unless pre-approved with signed addendum; non-refundable fees apply; violations may result in eviction, loss of deposit, and additional charges
  • Smoking: Strictly prohibited; Guest responsible for any odor or damage-related charges
  • Fire hazards: No campfires, fireworks, or open flames unless explicitly allowed
  • Illegal/unauthorized use: Subletting and unapproved use are prohibited
  • Unapproved modifications: Installing equipment (e.g., window A/C) or altering the space is not allowed; damage/repair costs apply

Equipment & Amenities

  • HVAC & utilities: Doors/windows must remain closed when A/C is in use to prevent damage; misuse may result in repair charges
  • Appliances & systems: Operation is not guaranteed; no refunds for malfunctions (includes A/C, internet, appliances, power outages, etc.)
  • Internet/phone/TV _(if equipped)_: Long-distance calls and paid media are charged to Guest
  • Provided items: Guests may need to bring linens, towels, and supplies unless otherwise stated; rentals may be available for a fee
  • Equipment reporting: Damage must be reported within 24 hours; unreported or excess damage beyond coverage (up to $1,000 or $300 for shorter stays) is chargeable
  • Locked areas: Restricted areas are off-limits; unauthorized access may result in charges
  • Maintenance access: Authorized personnel may enter for inspection, repairs, or showings with notice where required

  • Cleaning expectations: Must leave in clean, habitable condition; excess cleaning fees apply
  • Damage reporting: Report cleanliness or maintenance issues within 24 hours of check-in
  • Furniture & care: Return furniture to original placement; moving damage or misplacement may incur fees
  • Trash: Must be properly disposed of per instructions; excess trash removal may incur charges
  • Checkout compliance: Late checkout may incur fees up to $100 per 30 minutes
